Founder & Executive Producer
An annual immersive showcase created and produced through Breaks In The Simulation, bringing together live music, art, wellness, and intentional community experiences in New Orleans.
Project context
Built as an alternative to the traditional artist showcase, Sunset Showcase places performance within a larger environment designed around connection and personal development. Emerging artists share the stage alongside wellness practitioners, creative activations, interactive experiences, and community programming - creating multiple ways for audiences to engage beyond simply watching a performance.
Highlighting emerging artists such as La Reezy, Dominic Scott, Odd the Artist and more, the experience has evolved into one of BITS' signature programs and a real-world expression of its artist-centered approach: developing spaces where creative discovery, mental and emotional wellness, and meaningful community can exist together.
The Situation

Traditional showcases often create an opportunity for artists to perform without creating much infrastructure around the performance itself. Through Breaks In The Simulation, I wanted to build an experience where artists could be discovered and supported while audiences engaged with creativity, wellness, and community beyond the stage.
The Execution

Conceptualized and produced a multi-dimensional showcase from the ground up, overseeing experience design, artist curation, programming, partnerships, production logistics, team coordination, and audience experience.
Rather than treating wellness as a separate activation, I integrated mental-health awareness and social-emotional development into the experience alongside live music, art, and community programming. The result was a multidisciplinary environment designed to support both creative expression and meaningful human connection.
The Impact

Sunset Showcase became a flagship expression of the Breaks In The Simulation model and a recurring platform for artists, creatives, wellness practitioners, and community members to share space.
Beyond producing an event, the series provided a live testing ground for BITS' larger approach to artist development: built around shifting entertainment from extractive to regenerative by creating environments that consider the artist, audience, and ecosystem surrounding the creative work.
